Ingredients
- 1 LB Meyer Natural Angus Ground Beef (4 Meyer Natural Angus patties can also be used as a substitute)
- 3 OZS Brie cheese
- Burger rolls (optional)
- 1 Green apple (cored, sliced into matchsticks)
- 1 Carrot (grated)
- 1/4 Cup Low-fat buttermilk
- 1/4 TSP Ground cumin
- 1 TBSP Honey
- 3 TBSPS Fresh cilantro (chopped)
- 2 Scallions (thinly sliced)
- 1/2 Lime (juiced)
- Salt to taste
- Lime wedges for garnish
Preparation
- Wash green apple and slice it into matchsticks. Grate one carrot. Mix apple and carrot in bowl with buttermilk, cumin, honey, cilantro, scallions, lime and salt. Set aside.
- Shape ground beef into 4 burgers and cook to desired degree of doneness. When ready to serve, top each burger with 3/4 ounce brie and about 1/2 cup slaw. (If you can’t get the entire 1/2 cup on the burger, serve remaining slaw on side). Serve burgers with or without burger rolls and lime wedges.
